FAQ - Axe Throwing at Wood Splitters in Grand Rapids, Michigan
Axe throwing is a new and popular sport to the United States and is growing in popularity each month! It’s just like playing darts or bowling but with real axes! You hurl these axes in lanes towards wooden targets and try to hit the bull’s eye.
YES! Axe throwing is very safe as long as you follow the guidelines. Before throwing you’ll need to be briefed by one of our Axe Masters who has gone through safety training to ensure that the throwers know how to remain safe during a session!
Everyone who will be throwing axes, or watching, will have to sign a safety waiver and receive a safety briefing from one of our trained Axe Masters. Anyone under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian present to sign the waiver. We do not have a minimum age, but we can refuse the right to throw for anyone who is not mature enough to follow the safety rules.
Below, we included a sample of our rules to ensure the safety of all visitors. During your first session, an Axe Master will brief you on all the safety rules to ensure you are safe at all times.
You can dress in any style you like! Our only dress code requirement is that you must wear closed-toe shoes only! No flip flops, no heals, no crocs (even if you love them). This is for your safety!
While walk-ins are welcome during normal business hours, we can not guarantee that there will be a lane available at the time when you walk in. Reservations are strongly suggested if you would like the throwing time of your choice.
